Leighann Miko
Leighann Miko – Associate Financial Planner – Joined Silver Oak in 2010. In her role as an associate financial planner, Leighann prepares client financial plans and presentations by gathering, organizing and synthesizing client data within a financial planning context. She supports the senior advisors with client deliverables, quarterly performance reporting and the overall wealth management process. Leighann provides additional expertise in back office operations and the creation of internal processes for more efficient office management.
Leighann is an active member of the Financial Planning Association, serving as a member of the Director of Pro Bono for the Los Angeles chapter (FPA-LA), as well as Chairwoman of the FPA-LA New Professionals Group. In addition, she is a member of NexGen, a unique community for up-and-coming professionals who represent the future of financial planning.
Most recently, Leighann was asked to serve on the FPA New to the Profession Advisory Council at the national level which helps to connect those new to the profession with the resources needed to jump start a successful career in the financial planning industry. In 2010, she was the recipient of the Financial Planning Association’s Diversity Scholarship award based on her commitment to the diversity of both consumers and professionals in the financial planning industry.
Prior to joining Silver Oak Wealth Advisors, Leighann held the position of para planner at a small boutique financial planning firm in West Los Angeles for over three years. She worked closely with the CFP® to assist in the development of strategies for clients by managing client administration and collaborating on financial planning and investment management.
Leighann earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an option in Financial Services from California State University, Northridge. She earned her certificate in Personal Financial Planning from UCLA Extension’s CFP Board-registered program and is a candidate for CFP® Certification.
